Excellent value for money. Free shuttle bus from airport. Good value meals offered in the restaurant. The guesthouse is in a gated complex. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed our stay.

This all comes down to pay for what you need. The Emerald Guesthouse us exactly as described. Cheap cheerful accommodation. You can't beat the price. Free on time airport shuttle. Easy to find they send you detailed instructions and the schedule ahead of your arrival. The staff are friendly and efficient. Personally escorted to your room and shown the facilities. The property is safe, clean and well equipped. Clean sheets and towels, plenty of hot water. Kettle and water in the room. English breakfast is included in the price. If your looking for a bargain close to the airport and ideal for a short stay or transit this is the place.

All the staff were great ! My room was very good, the mattress was nice, hot water for the shower. I noticed there were also some very nice rooms but depending on your budget, I got good value for what I paid. The breakfast was good. They also offered me a "day" room as my flight was delayed many hours. The location was excellent with a free airport shuttle and a very nice drive that was on time !!

I had a layover in Johannesburg arriving late at night and having to leave at 6am in the morning again so I needed a place for a few hours in the night. I was worried if it would all work out especially as we landed 2 hours late after midnight but Emerald exceeded my expectations! The driver was super kind, helpful, reliable and responsive. He drove me and another girl back to the airport at 4am and even gave me a breakfast pack. I can full heartedly recommend using this hotel for layovers (I saved 300€ flying from Europe to cape town like this). Super safe for single travellers as well!

Very friendly and accommodating lady at the reception. We were able to order food quite late at night which was a bonus. Because we left before breakfast we were given a breakfast pack which made the morning easier.

Basic accommodation for an overnighter near to the airport. Very good value as it includes breakfast and a shuttle. Evening meal available.

A perfect stay nearby the airport with good breakfast and comfortable bed. It is very near to the airport. The room was clean and big enough for us family of 6. Breakfast was nice and check-in and check-out was smooth and easy.

My stay was great. The night staff were so friendly and great; the morning lady wasn’t that friendly, but altogether it was great. The only thing I would change is to put a fan in for summer as it’s very hot and a heater for winter.
